The Mumbai Metro Service is finally started from 8th June 2014, After a so long period of waiting of the people of Mumbai. Mumbai Metro will provide great facilities to the common people of Mumbai. The people who need to travel everyday will be able to travel through Mumbai Metro instead of local trains. The Mumbai Metro is helpful for the general public to avoid traffic troubles in traveling. The relevant people must be looking for the important information about Mumbai Metro i.e. Schedule of Trains, Ticketing method, Stations List, Traveling Fare etc. which are presented as under:

Train Schedule:

  • From Monday to Saturday (Weekdays):

The Metro service will start from early morning at 5:30am and the same will end on 12:00am midnight.

The First Train of the day will depart from both the stations Ghatkopar and Versova at 5:30am in the morning.

The Last Train will be available from Versova at 11:10pm and from Ghatkopar at 11:35pm at night.

  • On Sunday:

The Metro service will begin from early morning at 5:30am and the same will end on 12:00am late-night.

The First Train of the day will leave from both the terminals Ghatkopar and Versova at 5:30am in the morning.

The Last Train is scheduled at Versova station from 11:10pm and at Ghatkopar from 11:35pm at night.

Fares for Metro:

The Fares are to be charged by Mumbai Metro at very low cost from Rs.10 to maximum Rs.40 for the Mumbai Metro Line-1 i.e. Versova – Andheri – Ghatkopar Corridor. Nominal Fare of Rs.10 will be applicable between any two stations nearby for the first 30 days.

Ticketing Information:

To travel in Mumbai Metro, the passenger can either take Smart Token for a single journey and if the passenger needs to travel on regular basis, then he / she can get the Smart Card by payment of security deposit of Rs.50 only. The monthly pass system is availed on Smart Card and also the Passenger can recharge the Smart Card just like prepaid sim, with at least Rs.100/- and maximum Rs.3000/-. The Smart Cards are available at any Customer Care counter at Metro stations.
